My story…..Well I was told life begins at 40, but sometimes I am a little slow on the uptake! Life changed for me last year –I found myself living back in the UK and determined to pick myself up and start again. I needed a tonic – and that came in the form of an MBNS treatment. I was a patient over 10 years ago and was one of Marea’s first clients to have collagen in Harley Street. Now that I have returned to the UK, I have become one of the staff and I am so impressed in how far they have all come in 10 years! Although, I believe, I have been blessed with good genes (my mother at 78 looks a good 10 years younger) I wanted to give myself a boost, so decided to have a soft tissue filler and BOTOX®. Filler in the form of Restylane® Lipp® (to even out my lips), a new collagen called Evolence for nose to mouth lines and BOTOX® to give me a refreshed look and also to eliminate the migraine headaches I had experienced for as long as I can remember. The procedure was simple and quick. I was consulted by the nurse prescriber, who took a full assessment and medical history and I was then prescribed the appropriate aesthetic medicines. I was given a dental block so that when my lips were being filled (with Restylane® Lipp®) I would not have any discomfort. Marea injected into my lip more so on the bottom than the top as my lips were uneven – leaving me with a fuller yet very natural look. Next I was injected with Evolence on my nose to mouth lines, followed by a full BOTOX® treatment which consists of three areas covering the forehead (which eliminated my headaches), the smile lines at the side of my eyes and around the mouth area to prolong the Restylane® in my lips (this usually lasts a full year). I will be returning for BOTOX®e more times over the next year but with BOTOX® more you have, the less you need, so consequent years, the visits will be less frequent. What others thought…..The changes have been subtle, and I am constantly told how well I look and how well rested – so that is a good thing. I feel great inside and out now and am ready to face the future |
